Wondering What is the Difference Between Local SEO and Regular SEO?

Well, local SEO is about how you optimize your website so it can have the ability to rank better for your local audience.  For example if you only sell your services or products in a certain area, you want your business to show up in the local search not in the broad search since you do not provide services or products in that area.

Having a website gives you the opportunity to target a large audience across the internet. But if you have a target audience that is actually located in or near a certain city only, you should optimize your website for local SEO, this will get you the better conversion rate since it is localized and targeted to your specific audience.

What an SEO expert would do is optimize your website for your city name, optimize your address details. In short: you need to optimize so people know where you are located and are able to find you. Example: West Palm Beach SEO would be a local search.

Another thing you can do to get your website seen locally is mention your website or business on your social profiles, such as Facebook and Twitter which may increase the direct traffic to your website. This will be visible to Google as well, in turn assisting you with your local SEO efforts.

One thing that you should have especially when targeting local SEO is create a Google My Business Page. This business page will let google know this is you business and this is where it is located. So when your potential customers and/or clients search in this area they have even a better chance of locating you within the search and your My Business Page as well.

So the question was what is Local SEO? This is the process of doing SEO that consists of a number of factors that help you address getting your local audience find you by better in the search engines via local searches.  

In conclusion Local SEO helps local businesses promote their products and/or services to potential local customers and clients. Search engines rely on local signals such as local content, social profile pages, internal and external links, and citations (NAP – Name Address Phone Number) are consistent to provide the most relevant local results to the end user.
